Zoo-Wee Mama! Bite Off More Than You Can Chew (On Purpose)

Bite off more than you can chew?

What if that’s the point?

We love to say things like:

God won’t give you more than you can handle.”

But what if He does?

Wherever you are in your faith - Christian - Jewish - Muslim - Buddhist - Agnostic - Atheist - I believe this holds true: when you bite off more than you can chew, you are forced to go all-in. You push yourself to your limits. And, you rely on others for help, too.

For my faith worldview, the question is this: what if He allows more than we can handle, not to crush us, but to deepen our dependence?

To pull us closer.

To remind us: you were never meant to do this alone.

Go all-in. No regrets. Lean on God.

Lean on your friends. Ask for help.

Recently, I reframed asking for help—and it changed everything.

When you refuse to ask for help, you're actually robbing someone of joy.

You're blocking them from:

  • Living out their purpose
  • Putting their core values into action
  • Doing something deeply good

Key Reminder

Wherever you are in your faith, lean into it.

Not just when you’re desperate.

Not just when it’s easy.

Lean in when you’re strong.

Lean in when you’re scared.

Lean in because that’s where trust grows.

Everything I’m doing right now points back to one thing: Purpose.

  • Meaning.
  • Significance.
  • The heartbeat of the 100 Year Manifesto.

Live a life that echoes into eternity.

Live with a 100 Year Focus.

You don’t have enough time to do it all.

But you do have enough time to do what you’re called to do.

Go all-in. No regrets.

🤯 ZOO-WEE MAMA MOMENT

Straight outta Diary of a Wimpy Kid—and honestly, that’s how I feel most days.

Biting off more than I can chew. Zoo-wee-mama is a phrase I heard over and over as my 10-year-old son Macallister listened to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid audiobooks.

And, I just LOVE the phrase. Zoo-wee-mama!

Plate overflowing.

Questions running wild:

  • Will people show up at new Purpose Fueled locations?
  • Will current attendees keep coming back?
  • Can we make it better every month?
  • How do I fit the Purpose Fueled growth alongside writing two books, pursuing my Master’s Degree full-time, fatherhood, self-care, speaking engagements, the growth of the 100 Year Manifesto…and on and on…
  • And then even more ideas: Do we start 1:1 coaching? Should I build a team of coaches?
  • Ultimately, how do I have the greatest impact on the greatest number of people while living out my 100 Year Manifesto—my true calling in life?

It’s a lot.

But we do it on purpose.

Not to prove how strong we are,

But to reveal how massive our God is.

To experience the fullness and richness of life.

The bolder the dream, the deeper the dependence.

The deeper the dependence, the louder His glory.

And, it starts today. It starts right now.

Purpose Activation Challenge

ASK FOR HELP.

Big or small. One intentional ask this week.

  • Need feedback? Ask.
  • Need a ride? A referral? A prayer? Ask.
  • Need a connection? Ask.
  • Need clarity? Ask.
  • Need prayer, presence, or peace? Ask.
  • Need truth? Ask.
  • Need time? Ask.
  • Need a moment to breathe? Ask.

You’re not a burden. You’re an invitation.

👉 Bonus line: Tell them,

“I need your help.”

Say these 4 words out loud: “I need your help.”

Say it to a friend. A colleague. Your spouse. God. Say it to me.

Then pause.

Watch what happens.

There is joy on the other side of the ask.

For them. And for you.

📍This week, make one intentional ask.

Not because you’re weak—

But because you’re strong enough to be honest.

June 07, 2025 Everything we’ve built started with a question. What truly matters? Not: How fast can we scale? Not: What’s trending? Not: How do we go viral? But: What actually matters? This week, I’ve been reflecting on the stories behind the brands. The 100 Year Manifesto. Purpose Fueled. Best Lunch Ever. Purpose in Action. They’re not random projects. They’re chapters of the same story. My story. Your story. Each one was built out of loss, love, and longing for something more meaningful. And...

June 07, 2025 What if legacy isn’t a "someday" thing? You don’t have to be a great photographer to capture something beautiful. The light does the work. The stillness helps you see it. That’s what I was reminded of on my walk this week. I’ve been “working” on my photography for nine years now—not to improve a skill, but to become more present. That simple rhythm of daily photos has reshaped my definition of success. Maybe success isn’t more. Maybe it’s deeper.Maybe it’s one honest...

June 07, 2025 Leadership is presence, purpose, and people. Over the past week, I’ve been reminded again and again that real leadership isn’t flashy—it’s intentional. It’s showing up when it’s uncomfortable. It’s locking in when distractions want to pull you away. It’s making blankets with strangers because kindness matters. It’s saying yes to something bigger than you—like writing a book you never planned to write. This week, I saw it everywhere: In my son. In a brewery full of leaders...
